Latest Tune by MZM International

I have been logging my horsepower and torque gains. I thought that I would share with you guys so you can have an idea of about how much horse power you should have with the basic mods. All of the passes were preformed on a Mustang Dyno.

My very first tune consisted of the APS 3.5" TB Exhaust, HKS Intake, Walbro 255lph, TurboSmart E-Boost 2 @23 psi, MZM Custom Tune on 93 Octane. I installed all of the parts and then went in for the tune.

Base Line : HP : 262.5 / TQ : 258.7

Tuned : HP: 274.6 / TQ: 264.2

I ran a 12.06 @ 114.65 on this tune.

I then had the HKS 272 Intake / Exhaust cams installed along with the APS Intercooler. This time when I had it tuned I went a little more aggressive. I chose a race gas tune on TT 105. Peak boost @24.5 psi to holding 21 psi at redline.

Bas Line : HP : 274.6 / TQ : 264.2

Tuned : HP : 307.8 / TQ : 280.6

Then I decided to go and run my car on a DynoJet just to see what the real differences were in between the two. The DynoJet did indeed read higher. There is about a 20% difference between MZM's Mustang Dyno and Alamo's DynoJet on the horse power side and 28% on the torque side .

HP : 368.52 / TQ : 360.08

Now for the most recent tune. I added the CoolingMist Meth Injection Kit so I wouldn't have to pay for the outrageous race gas. Peak boost @ 24.5 psi and holding 24.5 psi to redline. Made possible by the E-Boost-2.

Base Line : HP : 307.2 / TQ : 280.0

Tuned : HP : 318 / TQ : 298

Over all I have had a good relationship with MZM and would recommend them to anyone in the central region. They are at times very busy so be patient. They have been tuning my car since I had 6,000 miles on the car and I now have 41,000 miles on it. I think that says a lot about the dependability of MZM's tuning capabilities.

Thanks for reading.

I think it was like $600. Well worth it in my opinion. I got the kit through MZMPerformance.com . Check it out if you get a chance. It is in the Evo section under Cooling Mist.

They have one of the best controllers on the market. I have the Stage 2 vari-cool kit in my car. The tune switch and the ability to interface with a lap top is great.

I also have the Vari Cool controler. Although I am not using the serial port option. It is still a good kit.
