custom tuning in DFW
I live down South of Dallas and commute to Irving with my car. I don't want to go crazy modding, but would like to put in a drop in and a tune just to lean it out some to help with MPG and get some extra performance to boot. On a stock IX is it worthwhile? I'm glad someone local is jumping into this. Thanks in advance.

a tune on a stock 9 is very much worthwhile there are a few basic mods that can totally free up the system, but even a tune by itself can make some big gains. the 9's actually run quite a bit leaner then the 8's do straight from the factory, so i wouldn't expect much of a gain in MPG though. and where you will see any improvement will only be in the open loop operation. in lay mens terms, when your accelerating hard you'll get better MPG. cruising it already runs at the optimal A/F ratio assuming everything is functioning properly.
shoot me an e-mail or message or call me and we can talk about what you can do with your car.
Much thanks Kevin, she feels fast again. It was night and day. She pulls hard all the way through and the power delivery seems so smooth. And when I get the FP green, I will be back. So thanks again.

That's for sure, I am in the same boat, I drive from cleburne to ft worth everyday, I don't want to go crazy on the car (yeah right
) , I would however love to have it tuned. Kevin are you available on the weekends?

KEvin for some reason my boost keeps spiking hard core....any suggestions?? like we had it at 1.71kg/cm3.....witch according to ur gauge is 23psi, but on my gauge is 1.61kg/cm3 (so my gauge is .1kg/cm3 off)....but anyway its spiking to like 26psi...then droping quick to regular boost levels....is it ok to have it spike like that??? or do i need to turn it down? maybe i have too much boost line to the MBC, could that be it? suggestions?
just FYI....going from kg/cm3 to psi multiply by 14.333.....and from PSI to kg/cm3 multiply by .070

yeah my gauge is .1kg/cm3 off.....so yesterday when we had ur gauge on my car it was showing 23psi and mine was showing 1.71kg/cm3, but it should havbe showed 1.61kg/cm3. so ill tuen it down a little bit....
also my other question on why i called yesterday was....it spikes to 23psi in one gear and when i shift it doest go that high...it hits like 21.8psi...is that normal?
and regard to the MBC....i want the shortest amount of VAC line to the MBC and back to the VACsys, right??

i'm sure we can make some more power from your setup.
