Officially an Evo owner... AGAIN

After 3 agonizing months of not having an Evo. I finally found one.

Yes, I still have the STI, but it's for sale.

Old Evo...

Very nice. In that lighting it reminds me of the MKIV Supra color....I think it was Royal Sapphire Blue Pearl. Very nice....and congrats on the car.

I'm only asking $20k for it, BUT it needs some work. I didn't realize it when I bought it.
The motor is "wounded" and there are some design flaws I still need to fix. TopSpeed made several mistakes when they built this car. I've fixed a bunch of them, but I am running out of time before deployment.
Work that should be done; The MAF needs relocated to before the turbo, different injectors, UTEC removed, ECUTEK retune. I have a for sale thread in the f/s forum. I bought the car for $27,000 extensively modded in October. It needs the above work and eventually a built shortblock for about $2600. The car still runs fine, but consumes oil.

---------------------------

I bought the car in AZ from srt2evo on this board. I have his plates until I get my tag transfer from Florida.

It came with Megan header/O2/DP/Test Pipe/Catback. It also has a fighters garage LICP, hallman MBC, steward warner boost gauge, tein S-techs and a 2 hour dynoflash road tune on 91 octane.

This Evo feels at least as fast as my old Evo. Its so smooth, its hard to tell you are going fast.

The STI is much faster, even broken.

Wow, this came back from the dead. The guy I'm referring to is actually srt2evo on AZAWD and has almost the same user name, maybe I got it wrong. Its possible you got his old username if he was inactive for awhile.

I just spent $3700 to replace the bad piston rings and put a brand new Perrin 35R. It seems the bearings where bad in the old turbo. It was hard to tell, but the STI now spools much faster then before. I am breaking in the STI, so far 500 miles. Then it can get a tune.

It's fun driving them back-to-back. Both cars are special.
