can some one suggest.....
If you deal with Alamo, you will regret it. The only shop we can recommend at this point is Jotech. Or, if you drive an Evo, then KevinD is your contact.
don't know why people always bash alamo ,maybe from word of mouth but maybe they haven't even dealt with them i've bought a majority of parts from them and had a clutch replaced from them 1 day turn around great service to me at least .
maybe i can go up there with you and they'll finally treat another member good?

Just facts here bro. There are quite a few folks in our club and community here with very raw rear ends from dealing with said shop. I won't go into detail here...but please just trust the experience of our group.
Our stance is: Do not let them touch your car, period. That would be like trying to catch a flying chainsaw with the throttle stuck wide open using your naked body. If you did it, and survived, then consider yourself very lucky

i don't mind buying parts from alamo at all. brice has been really good to me in that respect. however, i have fixed more then enough of their mistakes... basically all the work i have done to DEVO330's car has been to de-alamo his car.
i could go on and on, but it is really hit or miss depending on who does the work there.
lol i swear you guys ... flying chainsaws and naked bodies come to think of it ya i have caught some of their mistakes like when they worked on my transmission they didnt tighten 3- outa 8 i believe of the bolts on the top of the tranny, and they told me it was my clutch .... sounded like a bee hive under there
Yeah parts may be the only safe bet...though we still heard about the behind the scenes part shenanigans that go on as well on the internet sales side. Fortunately, we can get some needed parts from internal sources to reduce the need to do business over there.
My understanding is that internet parts sales is the only thing keeping them afloat financially.

Brice has always been good to me for parts. I just wouldn't let him tune my car. I have a friend in Dallas that does work on Evos (he's done clutches, cams, etc). He's a mechanic at a Nissan dealer. He's another safe bet.

unfortunately i don't work on STis. just evos
