Houston local Evo roads
Houston local Evo roads
I started this thread for people to drop info for Houston road carving. We are pretty starved for some good roads here so I thought I would leave my .02c on my favorite so far...any others feel free to link up other well paved hidden country roads for everyone to know about.
Brookshire - San Felipe, TX
22 turns, 11 miles alot of local bikers know about. That is how I knew about it from back in the day on my R6...long, on camber sweepers that you can roll 70-100mph through easily... half of em are blind so you need to get your braking done early to avoid surprises. If you own an Evo in Houston and dont want to drone to Austin to get your rocks off this is great fun...went out this morning and had a blast. Dry, Sun mornings are when the hardcore bike guys get this road done. It is soooo worth driving 10 minutes past Katy Mills mall to do....add in the return trip makes 24 miles of local thrashing. Dont go into San Felipe the cops are horrible..turn around at the city limit sign & Stephen F Austin memorial/museum.

Great thread! We need to start one for every part of Texas. Some great motorcycle publications are out there for up to enjoy as well
NWest of Houston, near Anderson is a great ride on FMroad 149 south. Youll see plenty of bikes there as well.
