2008 Lancer EVO X GSR Due in January!

Just wanted everyone to know that we have 8 (EIGHT) 2008 Lancer EVO X GSR models due for January Delivery. Please PM me if you would like to reserve one so you don't have to wait until the February launch to get yours.

Keep in mind that there will be a LIMITED number of X's available, so don't miss out! As a reminder the GSR version will have the 5-speed gearbox, and the MR version (due out in March) will have the SST gearbox. I can take orders for the MR sometime in November for delivery in March.

Prices have yet to be determined.

Mike, it was my understanding that only two of them were not already spoken for. Is that still the case?

EVO IX > EVO X, in my opinion.

*sigh*

That attitude is why dealers here in Houston were selling '03s at fire sale prices when the '04s came out. And it's why I bought mine at CarMax rather than deal with dealer markups and BS.

I mean, jeezus, you're here among proven customers antagonizing us with marketing BS and trying to get us buy cars without even knowing what the price is.

You guys never learn, do you?

I'm not ANTAGONIZING anyone; you guys stop beating me down for doing my job. I'm not into BS either! I am merely providing as much information as I have available.

Thank you.

Hmmmm....."Dislike"? Check. "Hostility"? Check.

"Enmity"? Marginal. "Hatred such as might be felt for an enemy" is pretty strong. But, yeah, that applied to the first Mitsu dealer I went to, where the sales staff wouldn't even let me test drive an Evo unless I first signed a contract to buy one.

Telephone solicitors are "just doing their job", too. The fact it is one's job has absolutely no bearing on whether or not it's annoying as hell.

Don't you need to "check with your manager" about that?

For clarification anyone who orders one before launch will not pay a penney over MSRP. MSRP probably will not be released until next month. We will continue to try and increase the number of Evo's we can get our hands on so we can maintain our Evo sales dominance in the Central Region. Not everyone will want to make a deposit on a car without knowing it's final price, but some people do, so it is simply a service we offer. The price of the base GSR will likely be similar to the IX GSR price. Mike has been with us for 3 years and is one of the top Evo salepeople in the country and will do anything within reason to keep his customers happy. I'm sorry you guys had such a terrible experience, maybe you should give Mike an opportunity next time and he can show you just how easy buying a new car can be.
