Question for computer experts...
I'm considering making the switch back to XP from Vista and was wondering how I could retain all my files/programs without backing it up to a external hard drive? Also, how about all the drivers for sound, wireless, etc?
Do I just insert the boot cd and go from there?
I'd appreciate any help...
Thanks

it depends if you have service pack 2 with all the updates vista should give you the option to keep all of your files/folders at least it did when i installed it edit misread what you were doing sometimes i'm slightly dyslexic no you have to back it up in some form and certain registry problems may occur

Well I've successfully made the change at least I think...I backed up all my programs/files etc to a external hard drive and went ahead and wiped everything off the original C:/ drive but kept the recovery drive that HP had created (D:/) in tact and unchanged...I've got all the drivers working including video, sound, network, some AMD/HP updates, .Net Framework, etc etc...
BUT the only problem I've got now is when I click my computer, then click the C:/ drive icon, rather then opening up and showing more folders, a prompt opens up telling me to...
