Texas Spokes Sports Car Club will be holding an AutoX in Austin at TechRidge on Sunday, 8/24/03. Drivers and observers are all welcome.

I was the only one to make it out today, though trubidou did show up to get a bunch of rides, including in an RX-8 and STi (I wanted to ride in the STi damnit!) Hopefully he'll come out to future events. I also heard rumors of another white evo parked out on the street while I was making my runs.

Maybe more folks can show up for the next one.

 

I was going to try to make it but I still haven't got an helmet yet.

 

Spokes has a bunch of loaner helmets available. And in a pinch you could probably borrow someone else's helmet. Unless you're worried about cooties.

 

I thought that was your Evo I saw there, but I didn't see another white one on the street. I took some pics, but didn't run (arrived way too late)

That STi "java black" is wacky. It's got so much flecking in it that it looks gold/dusty at certain angles in the sunlight. But I like the black/gold combo. That is a pretty nice pic, yep.

I managed to beat her time by about a tenth, and she was on race Kumhos.

That was definitely my Evo there next to the Z06. You can see it in the pic of the RX8 too. I'm trying to hide behind that NSX but unfortunately the NSX is just a tad lower than the Evo, and the wing gives me away.
