This is actually kind of common. This is about the 4th Evo IX I've seen on autotrader with seats and wheels from an Evo VIII.

I'm guessing someone hooked their buddy up before trading in.

Take a look inside Shimanchu's IX. Not everyone likes the IX seats I guess.

Evo VIII seats FTFW! I am still trying to figure out what is so great about leather. They get hot in the summer, Cold in the winter. The VIII seats are more comfortable. The most important thing though you don't slide around as much which definitely adds to the fun factor.

The wheels though???? Now that must've been someone hooking up a buddy.

Something is wrong with that car - steering wheel (and dash trim?) is from an VIII as well.

Did I miss something in the engine bay?

You guys missed the headlight swap also (should be smoked chrome)

Seems the Wheels, Seats, Steering wheel, dash trim and headlights have been swapped.....


Funny, My 05 VIII has 06 IX Seats, Steering wheel, headlights, turbo and front end...........from a buddies rolled over IX that was totaled.

wouldnt it be funny if all they traded was a evo8 with a evo 9 bumper and a mivec valve cover and just ripped the dealer off haha

Valve cover is correct......if you go to there website you can se a side shot with the the cam gear cover and the bump out for the MIVEC on the intake cam.

10th digit in the VIN is a 6 =2006
