i went to go see my old automotive teacher in HS, and one of his students saw my car and said, "that bodykit on that lancer you have is friggen sweet!"

i was pisseddd!!!! i have a stock bodied evo 9! (lowred thats it)

i told him its an evo, far from a lancer. and it was all stock..

the kid was amazed.. the look on his face looked like he was high and someone gave him a pound of amsterdams nicest pot

thats funny! that happened to me all the time. At first I was kinda mad but after hearing it so many times I just come to think that Evo is so special and not a lot of people don't know it. The worst is even the cop that gave me a ticket have to ask what kind of car I have!

 

i got that tonight while introducing a new evo guy to ntec and evom. gave him a flyer and this guy in a ricey prelude with a crap can exhaust on the back and stickers on it said nice lancers. me and the new evo guy looked at eachother and without words decided to just leave it alone and say "thanks".

on a plus note, while driving through a school zone a kid that must've only been 10 yelled out "turbocharged!?" so i said "yes!!!!, its an evo 9" he said "wow an evolution those are the best!"

at least something is going right with todays youth. lol

Some dude with a Vette asked me if which toystore I bought my car from. I then asked him to line up with me and he said no.

 

Maybe he didn't mean it as a base Lancer, but just a Lancer in general? I know sometimes when I see a nice Evolution, I just call it a Lancer. I mean, trust me, I know the difference between the 2 cars, but maybe thats how we can take the Prelude guy meant it? BAHAHAHAHAA
