Anyone have a battery laying around?

The last 2 days I thought my car seemed a little sluggish to start, and this morning........dead. Used my wifes Tahoe to jump it off, drove around the block and left it running for about 5 mins. Turned it off and immediately tried to start it again and............dead. Wife had already left for work, so I might be stuck at home today.............Darn!!

give her the ol' heave hoe! push start it if you need to go somewhere remember to always park at the top of a hill though and facing the direction you can most easily push it to get it started again.

Heard that only works if you have stock cams in the car

yup,
key on
second gear pop, w/a llittle gas pedal
dis-engage clutch when it fires
pump gas pedal as needed
keeping fingers crossed at all times....
hmmm, never done that in flat Houston

so used to it on a cycle,
bumping my butt on the seat for traction,
it would be hard to omit that step even w/all wheel drive of the Evo

mitsubishi has 2 year warranty on the battery where they will replace it 100% if it is <2 years from purchase. Unfortunately, I was 2 months late when it died but they gave me 50% prorated warranty on an oem mitsubishi battery. not bad, just check if the dealership will do that for you.

I called them and guy said he didn't thinks it was covered because it is a wear item? He said he would have the manager call me when be gets out of his meeting. My 2 year warranty is up today. Exactly 2 years today... LOL

if you called today and it is less than 2 years, it is 100% which means the battery is free. after that, it is 50% or $48. they will take pictures of your battery, vin, and do a test. you should talk to the service manager and they will replace it with no questions.

Ok, so I go up to the dealership this morning and the guy is still talking this prorated B.S. and I tell him it should be covered under the 2 yr warranty. He says the warranty covers a prorated rate on a new one. So then I ask if the service manager was there and immediately he changes his tone and says, "well lets look into this". Turns out the battery IS covered 100% under the 2yr warranty or 36,000 miles (I have 33,000). So I got the battery free of charge and they washed her for me......

Thank you to everyone that was offering your spare battery and to all that gave advice.

Since i have no idea what dealership you are referring to, I can say w/out bias, and the weight of NTEC....

what 'bull....'

what kind of customer loyalty can we infer from such treatment?
Two dealerships have spent a lot of money on NTEC members and its events.
I hope the guilty dealership can speak up and explain such confusion, and win our confidence again.
