0 cause its not paint

it is a two part epoxy resin. you mix the two parts together and have to let it set and cure for a day. it was about 150 dollars for the two boxes if i remember correctly. it was a year ago though

Its $50 dollars a box, I just got done doing my garage and it really does look great and easy to clean up oil and stuff. The only hard part is if you have like 10 layers of dried oil and paint you have to clean up first.

thats what took the longest for me too. i had oil so thick that a gallon of mineral spirits was needed. heres the time break down for me:

3-4 hours packing everything up into boxes and moving it into the back yard
2-3 hours of scrubing, rinsing, scrubbing, etching, scrubbing, rinsing, scrubbing rinsing.

1 hour to apply the stuff with a roller, and brush for the edges, then sprinkle the flakes.

24 hours to cure

3-4 hours of moving everything back into the garage, unpacking boxes and getting it useable again.

next weekend i'll be starting stage 2 of the garage work it will be awsome, and i'll be sure to post pictures

Will my car be the first to be wrenched on in the updated garage?

When we bought our house, we had DFW Commercial Coatings do the garage. Rather than the two-part system, though, we went with the five-layer el queso grande. It took them four or five days, which was a real PITA, but the results were very nice.

How much did that set you back? I'm trying to figure out a good price so I don't get raped.

+1 - the little paint chip traction things dont help!!! But it is WAY easier to clean!!!! So less oil in the hair when you lay on the floor!
