Anyone planning on attending IFO SA 2008?
Would be cool if more Evo's showed up to race this year. Last year I made it to the finals, won first runner up in the 4G63 Quick 8 (sponsored by Forced Performance) With my mid 12 second daily driver and made $50.00. The only other Evo racing in the 4G63 Quick 8 was a bone stock IX. The rest of the class was filled with DSM's. The car show was so-so, the racing was pretty good though if your interested in import racing.
Anyhow, some friends and I from the Rio Grande Valley are planning on attending this year and I figured I'd mention it on this board and see if we can gather up some of the San Antonio Evos. Note: I've seen this event listed as December 14th on some other boards but on the IFO website it says 12/21 ?????
LOCATION: San Antonio Raceway in Marion, Texas
DATE AND TIMES: 12/21/08 from 10 am to 5 pm. Car show registration from 9am to 11am, judging begins at 11, awards ceremony at 4:30. Race registration starts at 9am, heads up qualifying at 11:00, 12:00, & 1:00. Eliminations at 2:30, 3:30, & 4:30.

Mr. Evo IX, I never did get you the full resolution of those pictures did I? Or am I thinking of someone at the Houston event I was suppose send high res pics to? Let me know if you want those and PM me an address and I should have the high res either at work or on my personal laptop.
As for me, I will be at the event unless something bad happens! I will try to bring in tow with me a few Dallas people! As for the event itself, I don't believe the 4g63 Class will be back. Instead we are in works to sponsor the Street Tire class instead. Due to such low participation this year at most all the locations, Import Face Off and Forced Performance have decided to just cancel the class and go ahead and we will sponsor the larger Street Tire class instead. We still hope a lot of the Evo guys will show up and participate in the class! If we can get enough to attempt to qualify, they will run a quick 16 instead of a Quick 8 bracket.
