If its a straight flow through perforated resonator then your exhaust flow will not be messed up.

Take a look yourself. Left one is a perforated in which most exhaust use the right one is louvered. The louvered messes with the flow, but the perforated does not.

If your resonator tapers inside then its another story. If it doesnt taper and is 3" straight through then dont waste your time and money cutting it off.

mexican muffler shop wants 40 without the pipe.. id rather pay denver and know that my **** aint never going nowhere, opposed to some guys that learned how to weld by melting **** and trying to make it stick.

when i bought my "megan turboback" off craigslist.. the guy told me he bought brand new and this is what came with it.. a cat-delete resinator, the exhaust and the o2 housing.. i picked it up for 100 bucks so i didnt really care. but the cat delete resinator is tapered off inside..

plus i like loud exhaust.. and resinators make me not happy

Oh ok. Yes if your resonator tapers inside that will dissrupt flow and rob some power.

Good luck with your quest. I'm the complete opposite and I am currently on the quest for making the quitest 3" exhaust system.
