and if we do carry this out with all the graciousness of the TONAGE of food we had, maybe more of our south regioners from sa and houston could possibly make the trip up knowing in advance, and did that renting the space cost alot goofygrin? if so i vote maybe next time we could all donate a $ or $$ towards the event seeing everyone brought plenty.

Not to put anything more on anyones plate, but with all the pictures from all the drives/events of EVOs the southern region generates, it would be cool if we made an EVO Calendar. Then we could sell them for a few bucks and use the profits to fund NTEC meets or future BBQs. Just a thought.

Planning is beginning so that there is a lot more advance warning so that our brothers and sisters far and wide can come (lol?).
The rental was $50 + $3 a pass. Not a huge deal. Much more important to me was that EVERYONE came and EVERYONE had a good enough time to want to do it again (including your spouses and kids... Mine already wants to go back to the lake [to throw rocks into the water]).
Since we have consistently proven now that we can bring a good crowd, without issues (RKC [NTEC Collin County], Spring Creek [NTEC General], Hot Evos Night, MR Unveiling, Hurricane Ike Cruise, NTEC BBQ [unofficial Ralliart Unveiling]), I feel confident in our ability to continue to bring people and get support from local (and national? MMNA you listening!) organizations. I realize times are lean, but if 3-4 vendors gave $10 each (which is nothing), then we could definitely do a lot.
Whether or not MMNA sponsors NTEC, I still think it would be a good idea to make a calendar. As soon as my wife gets her "Nikon D300 Super Duper Mile And A Half Telescopic Lens I Can See Through Walls Camera", then maybe I'll attempt to make a calendar. I have never made one so the first will be a learning experience. But we will see and of course it will only happen after I get back from Houston permanently.
Maybe I can persuade Shimanchu to help with the printing and the quality of paper I'll use.
