wife has similar issues... daily aspirin for now, but if she ever wants to have another kid she gets twice daily shots of stuff that ruins your life for 6 months.

My dad has to take shots in his stomach until the pills take into affect once he leaves the hospital. Luckily the blood clots have already passed through his heart (super lucky nothing happen) and are now stationary in his lungs. Time will tell and he is a stubborn, so he won't give up that easy.
