DFW Texas Motorspeedway Infield lapping
DFW Texas Motorspeedway Infield lapping
For the North Texas folk and surrounding countries (OK, LA, etc), is anyone coming out to the Texas Motorspeedway on Sunday for some hot lapping?
They don't allow photographs or video taping without permission so if you see anyone with a camera of any sort without credentials and you want to see it get smashed ( hopeing it's some dealer doofus), here's a chance and a great chance to enjoy your evo.
This is to protect you the particpant and keep asswipes like Mitsu in their place.

SportBikeHype’s next Track day is:
This Sunday, September 14th
8:30 am ‘til 6:00 pm
at
TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY
The weather man's calling for partly cloudy and 80 degrees, so it’s looking like it’ll be a GREAT Day!
SportBikeHype asks that all those who plan on attending future SportBikeHype events take 10 minutes to study the following:

7:30 am - Registration & Tech Open - There will be two (2) Tech Lanes (1 for cars and 1for motorcycles)
8:30 am – ALL newcomers (Drivers & Riders) to the Classroom
* NOTE: Whether Advanced, Intermediate or Novice, all those who have not attended a Classroom Session of The SportBikeHype Motorsports School MUST receive orientation with regard to SportBikeHype practices and procedures. This may mean that some Riders and Drivers miss the first track session, but, with safety as the first priority, SportBikeHype considers this to be the best practice.
* NOTE: ALL Novices (Car and Motorcycle) MUST return to the classroom after EACH on-track session!
8:30 am – First Group on the Track (usually, “Road Course Cars-Advanced,” to clear dust & debris)
8:45 am – Continue NEW GROUP ROTATION in the order set forth below
NEW GROUP ROTATION:

NEW REGISTRATION PROCEDURES:
- Upon arrival at registration, ALL Riders and Drivers MUST complete SBH's new PAYMENT VOUCHER, PARTICIPANT REFERENCE SHEET & PROVISIONAL LICENSE (the "Form").
o All participants must keep the Form with them at all times, and turn it in at the end of the day
+ This Form contains spaces for SportBikeHype Instructors to sign or stamp as the Novice participants progress (or, in the case of the Intermediates and Advanced, so that they can be signed or stamped allowing them to proceed through Tech and then directly on to track sessions.
o At the end of the day, the Forms will be left with SportBikeHype so SportBikeHype can later prepare their SportBikeHype Motorsports License (which they will be able to pick up at the next SportBikeHype Track Day)
- After registering, ALL RIDERS and DRIVERS MUST PROCEED DIRECTLY TO TECH IN THE CORRECT GARAGE, and MUST NOT ENTER ANY OTHER AREA!
- At Tech, INTERMEDIATE and ADVANCED Drivers and Riders (generally, past participants beyond the Novice category) who wish to receive immediate Intermediate or Advanced status will take their Form to Tech, where Jeremy Garcia (for Drivers) or Jim Clutts, John Jankowski, Gary Welborn, Guy Jones, Tom Melesky and/or Mike Dailey (for Riders) will be waiting to sign or stamp it so the Rider or Driver can receive his/her sticker authorizing his/her to participate in Intermediate or Advanced track sessions.
o For those who otherwise would be allowed Intermediate or Advanced status, but have not yet been to a SportBikeHype Track Day, approval should be withheld until after they attend the first classroom session, and return to Tech with their attendance noted on the Form.
- At Tech, NOVICE participants will have their equipment scrutinized, but will NOT receive their stickers UNTIL AFTER they attend the first classroom session.
- After their first classroom session, NOVICE participants MUST return to Tech with their signed or stamped Form and receive their stickers.
If a participant loses his/her Form, they will be REQUIRED to ATTEND THE CLASS AGAIN or SPEAK TO AN INSTRUCTOR IN ORDER TO GET ANOTHER ONE!! Also, as noted above, at the end of the day, the Forms will be left with SportBikeHype so SportBikeHype can later prepare their SportBikeHype Motorsports School License (which they will be able to pick up at the next SportBikeHype Track Day.
SUPPLEMENTAL TECH PROCEDURES:

They have all sorts of fun times out there. Hot Chicas roaming around, Sport Bikers Dragging Knees, Stunters Doing crazy stuff up around and on their bikes.
Best part is it's only like $55. Used to be much less expensive but prices went up a little bit and trying to get a confirmation of the exact price now.
No working your heat while melting in the sun, or standing in a hot paddock while some other run group runs around. You get to hang out in the garage in the shade and and/or enjoy the *scenery*.
I think they did a wet t-shirt wash your bike/car money raiser last time.
