thinking about making the trek on saturday from round rock (I know it's not that far, I just like to call it a trek nonetheless). My question is: Is any sort of advance reservation required to get a tube on the day of? I ask since I probably won't know if I can even make it till friday or so...

No reservation for the tubes is required. You just show up, rent the tube or tubes (you will need a tube for your cooler), float the river. They might hold your license as a deposit so you'll return the tube and not run off with it. Other than that, its pretty simple.

Updated the first post with a camp site map and my contact info. I will be leaving from Dallas around 6-7pm tomorrow night (Thursday June, 25th). We should arrive at the camp site around 10-11pm. Lookin forward to seeing everyone!
