A Holes w/ porshes!
I actually know both of the people you are speaking of. They are both really nice and good people. FYI He can drive. You won't see his car or hers totalled any time soon. Perhaps he was trying to be funny. He has a dry sense of humor, but I have never seen or heard him treat anyone with less than the most respect.
Oh, and I am still working on catching him on the track, so GL with that

I ran with this couple out at Eagle's Canyon, they are both good drivers. I could pull on them in the straights, but being on street tires, I could not hold them off in the corners. If I had slicks, they would have been toast!
I met them both at Eagles canyon. Him and his wife both tow their cars to the track. She is the one who paid for the cars according to what he said to me when I spoke with him. I asked whose they were and he pointed to her and said "her car". He told me that he just drives it.

I talked to him a bit at the track in December (or someone with a GT3 that looks just like that one). He is a nice guy and gave me some tips.
He likely thought you were a minimum wage tire monkey who drove a Civic and treated you accordingly. Or he was a ****
I've been known to be a **** sometimes too

anyways the guy really pissed me off and expected me to do his **** for him. apparently him and his wife both have porches they tow around and race. i really hate it when people talk to me like im some dumbass fanboy.. i thought it was funny how he called his porche a race car that he paid like 150-200k for.. sorry i dont consider that a race car.. in MY definition a race car is something YOU custom build from the ground up.. a GT3 is a sports car, an evo is a sports car. a formula 1 car is a RACE car
People like that (Porsche owners with attitude) give people like me a bad name. But from owning one for 1.5 years I have lots of theories on how people end up getting that attitude, and only one of them has to do with how much money they have... Seriously, I let two 16 year old kids who I caught looking into the windows of my car get inside it and showed them under the hood and "trunk" and talked to them about it for awhile.... Granted, it isn't a 103k Porsche (~GT3 price, btw, not 150-200k) or a more expensive GT3 RS, but it is just as much my baby as anyone else's car who always dreamed of owning said car.
His GT3 RS is not quite a race car by my definition either... Almost... Certainly closer than your Evo. But a race car to me is a car that's only purpose is the track, meaning it won't pass emissions or inspections anymore. Likely completely gutted, no AC or heater, etc etc. Our S2000 was a race car, my Evo was a sedan that happened to be just as fast

Did you ever say the word Porsche back to him? If so, and you pronounced it wrong (like so many people do) that could've been part of why he had that attitude.

Anyway with Hoosier slicks on a GT3 RS, even if the rest of the car is stock... Assuming he's as good of a driver as the above people have said... Even with an extra 100 hp over him you'd have a very hard time keeping up with street tires on. So hard, in fact, that I bet he could pass you easily in all but the tightest of corners. That isn't to say something bad about the Evo (or even your driving skills), I kept up with a Carrera GT (yes, the GT) driven by a very good driver. He was stock, I had the above mentioned stuff on my car. Tires make a world of difference and on a car as light and powerful as the GT3 RS, I'm sure slicks are insane. I got passed by Spec Miatas who were running slicks in the Evo back when I only had R-compounds. Porsches aren't insanely fast, but they're less of a joke than people think. Most of the guys (at least at the local Porsche club days) are running street tires and a rare few run r-compounds, I can speak from experience that with equal tires on my car against a stock Evo I could easily outrun the Evo, it just happens that the Evo could spend 1500 more dollars and leave me in the dust...

UT_evo -- i agree with just about everything you said, and yeah i know he would leave me behind, because i am an inexperienced track driver, with ZERO seat time.
anyways, the wheels i mounted wernt for HIS GT3 RS they where for his wifes GT3.
and i never said porsche back to him.. the very first thing i said to him was what are they going on? and he said race car.
anyways, i still feel bad lol
