save the money for preventative maintenance things that will happen soon in the near future...unless you have the money to burn i say do whatever you like best.

well my tires wont take that right now.. they will be dead within the month, and i dont wanna put new tires on wheels i dont like.

i figured id go, but id like to ride with like you or tim or someone that does it alot so i can watch and learn

Hey, I hear you but

against all reason...

the tires last forever....if you put enough air into 'em...mine have lasted over 20 trackdays, no tell'n how many sessions...
street tires don't provide enough grip to hurt upgraded pads/fluid (HP+ and Preston All Synthetic)
and they break loose gradually and with enough warning (squeeeealing) that you always know where you are in the grip range...

go for it!!!
the DI event already has a few EVOs signed up and more experienced NTEC guys will be out there for you to ride along w/as you learn...
I don't know anyone that didn't get their money's worth...
