That is a very cool car. I have seen one around in the area a few months back. It's the only one I've ever seen in person.

But you know what else is interesting.. In the episode of TopGear I saw this Monday (January 12, 2008) on BBC America, the "stig" ran the new GTR around the their test track in just a hair slower (and I mean just barely slower) than the Aerial Atom. That's impressive for a big heavy GT car with navigation, air conditioning, and protection from the elements.

yeah, not to mention an atom is 65k.. considering you could build it in your back yard if your smart enough... but id muchhh rather drive an atom around a track than a GTR just because you can see the road next to you.. not to mention it would be more FUN to drive than an everyday car with ac and navi... much more of a race car feel.

i see this guy every once in a blue moon, i just felt like sharing today! his is blk and red. i wanna run into him somewhere and chat with him!

imagine if they put our motor and reversed it to where the drive shaft went up front and had a a fully built motor with an evo red on that chassis! THAT would be a freaking MONSTER!

I've been to Driveway Austin, a track down here and one of the investors in the track has an Ariel Atom. The Ariel just sits at the track, and the owner took me out for a spin after a session. It was the scariest ride I've ever had.

That Ariel Atom "thing" looks pretty weird, but after watching some of those videos on Top Gear about it.....It's unbelievable, and it's lightning fast!!!!

common' man...."Lightning fast" just adds to the excitement. Sure, there will be cars and especially some Evos that could run faster....But the Ariel is still a wonder!!!

Ya Sick man ya same here this is one in my area that I know of and ya they are sick. Today I was at the track for a snow X well there wasn't any snow so it was a dry track and we had some sick cars out there... I wish I had a camera so i could have had a video of a boosted Lotus Elise that was fast as hell Love power to weight ratio

The US Atoms don't have the type R motor in it. Its a supercharged cobalt engine.
