Has it started to ice up in Dallas yet?
I just drove back to McKinney from downtown, and the roads were still fine (even if the drivers weren't). Crossing under 121 the exterior temp was showing 31, so it should only be a couple more hours until things get fun.
All I know is that it's too freakin' COLD outside!!! I drove outside earlier and the roads weren't icy yet, but the roads are very wet and it's very freezing.....So I bet it's going too turn very icy especially if the temp. drops or stays the same, and if the rain keeps coming......Stay inside everyone cuz' the weather is HORRIBLE!!!
It was sprinkling all evening long.. but as of right now I just started to hear the sound of tiny ice granules hitting the windows of my house....
I'm GOING to have to find me a parking lot!!! Mwuha ha...

Thanks guys for the info, I 'm trying to keep the Mrs. from going to work tomorrow. She drives a Honda Accord, which as everyone knows is front wheel drive. Not good for the ice.
Woooo yeah! I just got back from a little winter rally adventure. I tried out the "snow" ACD setting. I like it! I found a nice open parking lot and experimented with different steering/throttle techniques. It is true that when you turn, in this sort of environment, giving it some gas will help the rear come on around and the front pulls in the direction where you want it to go.
So when you do lose grip and start to slide, the worst thing you can do it brake. Turn that wheel and give it some gas and it'll go where you want it -- most of the time. It didn't always work. But it did most of the time.
BTW - Z1 Star Specs don't make very good snow tires
