Hey I'm hoping local Houston evo owners can help me out. I live in chicago but will be headin to Houston for 6 months under work related circumstances. Well my question is Ima be stayin out in Sugar Land I believe so I was wondering if i should drive my evo out there. Safe place? alotta auto related crime? I undastand coming from chicago i cant really complain but the car may be left out there while i come home on weekends. The main reason for me wanting to take it is i store it in the winter so i'd b gettin back home just in time to store again this year, which means 1 year no evo damn near. Please any advice would b appreciated. SHOULD I TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT???

Also any evo meets/ autocross events out there in the area?

Crime wise, is everywhere. Some more, some less. As far as Sugar Land side of town, the new just broadcast crime rate has gone up. But I guarantee you nothing compare to deep Houston. Know what I mean? If you have garage, is always a prefer! But if you don't, make sure you take out all the visible out of site when park. Always take precaution as is never be too careful. One suggestion, get a conceal handgun license if you are old enough and ready. It comes in handy. Works once for me already.

Meets? Sure, there's plenty.. We have a few close buddies used to meet every week.. but kinda cut down because is the same people over and over. There's always opportunity to meet others.

yea man it definately is i appreciate it. I wanna look for a climate controlled storage unit close to my place to park it. f it i'll walk the mile if i have too lol. man it jus sucks cuz i store it all winter and jus got new tires on it prep for the summer and then i get shipped out lol.

 

I can try to help you locate storage unit if you need. It shouldn't be too bad leaving it outside.

Bring it man. Tons of Evo's around town, gas is fairly cheep and you are welcome to hang anytime.

 

If your a baller you will drive it..just plain and simple. Sugarland is very safe as far as crime goes..and there is a ton of **** going on in houston

 

I think sugarland is safe.. well most of it is safe but i have heard of shootings at the mall and amc theater. but they were shooting at people and not cars so your car should be safe =)

SL is pretty safe the way i see it. it is the 3rd best city to raise a kid in.
