For those who run E85 without a near station...

What do you do?

I'm thinking about getting a plastic 55 gallon drum and an electric fuel pump...

Any other ideas?

Thanks

IMO i would just buy a bigger turbo and use pump gas (not intended to sell you mine just a suggestion that a bigger turbo is easier and keeps the convenience of pump gas)

i ran e85 for a while with a station 10 miles away and got sick of it. its so damn inconvenient. especially without a laptop or a wideband .

but on your topic. most guys use the 55 gallon drums and all i've heard of was hand pumps, not electric...but if you can make that work without any danger than go for it. so far you have the right idea, theres not much else you can do. and keep in mind your mileage will go to crap also so do some realistic math of driving habits+mileage+time before you make your purchase.

lol while he's using the pump he should rub his feet on the carpet and touch the side of the car near the fuel tank

not everyone has money to dump into their car to make a 500whp pump gas car, theres a couple of guys from dfw running e85 and their cars are running great, as long as you change your oil and maintain your car.

but if i was going e85 i would get a 55 gallon drum and use that as a back up.

Chad brings up a good point. On pump gas if you're going 220 on a tank (like me) then you'll lokely go 180 on a tank of corn.

Also corn is hydroscopic so your 55 gallon drum might end up being E20+30gallons of water in a month (not quite that much but you get the idea).

We keep 108 gallons of E85 and 108 gallons of E100 (denatured). Our station is a LOT farther away than most. Even if we run out of either I know others in the area that always come with us who have some It is cheap enough to keep a lot of it in sealed drums

There is hope if you live somewhere close to one of these stations.

Or as an alternative, you can simply purchase you a nice Aquamist kit from your local NTEC mad scientist and call 'er done.

I already have map switching via IC sprayer switch

I forgot that was the other reason I chose E85 over meth lol

OT: I'm still on V4 though, I never figured out how to to switch to 94170014/15 for V5+
