AMS Tuning in August at San Antonio!
could AMS chime in on the pricing. Not trying to bash you just wondering why such a difference in pricing from the 8,9 and the X. The tune should not be any harder for you to do, or is it? Just wondering!!!
Chris has tuned my stock ecu twice, and has now done my EMS. Best money I ever spent!! "Who tuned your car?" "Chris Black from AMS!" Who else tunes 1000hp evos? I'm not turning this thread into a pissing contest, but if youre in, youre in.

EVOX tunes are more expensive because they are being done with ECUTeK. I am still not pleased with the functionality and logging capabilities with the open source tuning products. For now, the best, most efficient and repeatable results are achieved with ECUTeK. I am sure there will be a day when the open source products will be as good, or possbly better (but that is not today) especially for the MR's and Ralliarts. There are quite a few things that are still being missed out on in those ECU's.

EcuTek does not lock the ECU on the evo X. You won't be locked into anything. If you need a tune I would recommend uninstalling the AP, and getting an ECUTeK tune. You can use either use ECUTeK or ECUFlash from there on out.
