I've noticed that a true benefit to the Evo compared to all-motor Honda's with cold air intakes that sit low in the bumper area is that there is no real worry about hydrolock. And if you get water sucked into the intake with an Evo, that means your whole car is probably being pushed downstream anyway, so who cares if the engine hydrolocks since the car is almost surely going to be written off by insurance anyway.
Was talking to IDriveRa (Gilbert) and he said he will not be attending if it rains . 19EVO86 Will not attend either , nor will i because of the rain .
If any chanced it does clear up then we might .

yeah rain sucks. im not worried about hydrolock in my 09 lancer gts, although i still drive carefully and take my foot off the pedal when i hit big puddles but yeah the past 4 days i have been driving around no problems.
How is HIN down here? I'm thinking about it. I've been to HIN in Seattle twice, and enjoyed it both times. Looks like this one will be pretty cool with all of the extra events they've got going on as part of the "Rivalry Nights" thing.
Also it does not come here , it is in Austin , but thats only about 45mins north of Biffs .

Yeah, I was surprised to see that there's an event in Austin this month and then another one in Dallas next month. I was lucky to see one a year in the Northwest when I lived up there, so this is new territory for me. I think I'm leaning towards going at this point. Probably won't make it out of SA until 6 at the soonest though, so we'll see.

anyone confirm if biffs is stilld oing their th ing ?
