Dealers normally don't budge that much I think. If I say I'd take 21 over their 25, they would probably laugh at me lol. It is worth a try though.
You're right about comparing the cost of a new car to this one. I'll have to think about it. Where did you buy your Evo again? It looks like Don Herring Mitsubishi has the best prices on new.

I go open up my file cabinet and see what I paid, but was a lot cheaper then any MR I could get here in sa. But its cause don herring had a great selection and had a bunch of ww's which is the color I wanted, the 3 deaths, uh, dealers here get like 1 evo in at a time and was too much.

You are right about Don Herring and stocking the WW. They currently have 28 Evo's on their website and 21 of them are WW. 75% of their Evo's are WW
. I bet there are alot of WW's driving around the DFW area.I probably would have went with Don Herring if I had known about them. I hate giving are local dealerships any money simply because they do not deserve it IMO. But the base model GSR at Don Herring is a little over $33k. I was able to get Westloop to sell me mine for $33.8k.
If I had went with Don Herring I would have saved $800 assuming that the value of my trade-in and dealer fee's would have been even. But after factoring in gas, hotel, food, and loss of time, I think I would have saved maybe $400. Don't get me wrong, $400 saved is $400 saved. But I am lazy and hate driving far. I also have a personal issue with being in Dallas and hate going up there unless I have to. It was just much easier to walk into Westloop and drive away an hour or two later.
Also I had heard that the advertised pricing on the Don Herring site isn't necessarily the pricing. It is the pricing with the maximum discount applied depending on what you qualify for. I'm assuming from your experience that this is mis-information?
