Is this a Evo meet or all four bangers? Im originally from H-town but currently in Ft. Hood. Occasionally I roll down there and I need to hook up with the tuner scene again.

 

No, all car types are welcome but its mostly an import meet.

I spoke with Tom not too long ago about passing TX inspection but I wanted to see if anybody else had any tips or locations that were lenient with an exhaust with no cat. BTW, i have an anti fouler in the 2nd o2 sensor so I don't have any codes? Will I be ok?

 

The place I go to near my work , in Galena Park, passes me for $40 and my car is catless as well with o2 spacer in secondary sensor. Most inspection places ask you to come by after 3pm because that's when the inspectors stop driving around to inspect the inspection shops. Pm me up if you would like to get more info. on the place I take my car to. I see that your location in your sig. says Houston, so your going to start tuning cars in the area?

 

TX is an OBD based inspection as of awhile ago. If they plug into the car and see Ready on all the OBD checks and No CEL. Your good. I have never been visually checked for a cat, but I have heard of one or two of my friends being checked. Other than that, make sure you have your insurance card .

 

Agree w/ Mike... Since its OBDII you'll be fine. All they do is plug in to do a diagnostics check. If no check engine lights and all sensors show 'ready' (meaning you didnt reset previously) then it will pass. I've passed w/ a test pipe and cams loping... and the guy looked at me puzzled and said "well, apparently you passed" LOL...
Otherwise hit me up if you have 'issues' man...

As far as tuning goes, Chris handles the road tunes as of now. I might get into road tunes in the future.

 

Saw a black evo 8 or 9(didn't see the front) with tint going into the apartments near The Fountains. What % tint do you have?

 

Not sure where the fountains is but if its near richmond ave it could have been me. Not sure what percent it is but I'd say its <20%

 

eh... you can go hella dark on the rear windows Kevin... just i think the front has to be 35% or lighter if im not mistake. I've never been big on tint, but I know it was something like that because my ex-gf needed tint one time and thats the darkest i could get it, lol.
