another Dealer down

i WAS working on a deal for a car with Maxwell Town North Mitsu here in Austin.
(they wanted to buy my trade at wholesale and then put the remainder of my loan on top of the new car. that wasn't gonna fly, not paying anybody five grand to sell my truck.)

anyway, i come back from Xmas vaca and find that the dealership has closed up. they had a good service department, i'll miss that. the only reason i was going to buy from them.
but now i can't buy the car i wanted anyway, it's going to Cali to the big Mitsu lot and never to return. they had 6 Evos, a couple of them with 3/03 inspections, meaning, they never sold any Evos!?! i don't know 'bout that, but i know that out in California is my team (GO HORNS!) and my ride, BBY w/o roof + CF...why put a sunroof on a racer?

i wonder if a can get the VIN and have another dealer order it from its tomb?
maybe this the the Darwinian aspect of car sales...

We have a BBY in Houston. I know it has the CF wing. I believe it has the sunroof though. I'm next door at Subaru however I'd be happy to work with you on the Evo if you wish. Good luck with your purchase whenever and wherever it is.

Chris,
I bought mine from Gillman south and they had 11 EVO's when I bought mine. I got the BBY by the way!! Don't know if they have any more BBY's but they do seem to have every other color and I'm sure they will cut you a deal.

Gillman south is where I am and we have one BBY right now and about 6 total. If you want more info you can pm me or get my email from my profile and email me.

BTW, the GTV is really a fine car. I think it's great they put it in the satellite radio commercial.

Maxwell closed up? Damn, that's where I got my oil filters from. I don't want to have to go back to Barrett... maybe I'll just order a load of filters from mitsubishiparts.net or something.

Gillman got a new BBY in a few weeks back. It was sitting outside of parts/service. The guy told me that had it on order since they came out and it had finally just showed up. And I know they sold at least one Evo, EvoRevo bought his at Maxwell.

I think that is the one I bought unless they got another one since then. When I bought mine they had 11 total on the lot, every color except white.

I bought my oil filters from Gillman for $5.95 each.

Oh crap, I meant Maxwell got the new BBY, not Gillman. Maxwell was on 183 at Burnet road.

Iodine, that was the car i was talking about. just the options and color i wanted. and now, it goes to Cali. reminds me of that last scene from "Raiders of the Lost Ark" where they roll the crate in a vast warehouse. sad...

I just found this out. I was on vacation for a week and a half, come back and decide to change my oil this weekend. I called maxwell (cuz I hate Barrett) and they said, "We don't do Mitsubishi anymore. The closest is Barrett." That sucks....so I drove to Barrett to get my oil filter. Gillman is just to far south for me. I'll probably do the mitsubishiparts.net route as well from now on. Going to Barrett just makes me cringe.
