Radar jammers have been illegal for a long time. The interesting thing is this makes illegal the polarizing filters that people put over the license plate.

 

They are not illegal in all states, i believe there is only a hand full. I happen to live in a state where it is not illegal to have. even if you do live in a place where they are, if your smart about it you can use them with out them knowing. yes radar jammers are illegal everywhere.
