Louisiana's Evo Owners?
The best I got highway (thus far) has been 21.2 miles per gallon.

I wonder if it's because the car has so few miles (picked up at 4500, now have just over 6000-- big country). I'm considering a Cobb Accessport-- maybe leaning it out might help.
Then again, I've got my 4Runner & my wife's car, so I may just leave it alone.

I'd deff. get an AP to wake it up. And many evo owners will tell you to AT Least get a High flow cat/test pipe so you can go straight to stage 2. Many owners agree that the stage 1 mivec settings are too aggressive.
I'm going to look at what's allowed for stock vs prepared classing for autocross.
I'm want to stay within what's allowed, rather than modding & being stuck in a class. I ended up in SM with my last two cars-- I'd like to be competitive with my Evo.

yup, and for every honest person theres 2 or more dishonest ppl. You can flash the cobb AP on there and take the AP out and non the wiser. Same thing goes for those that punch the stock cat out, essentially making it a test pipe
