I just got a job close to Austin texas and I plan on moving down in a month, and I have a question for the guys in Texas. So do you need to get an emissions test in all of texas and how you go about doing it? Do the emissions centers do a sniff test or only OBD2. Reason being is my evo is 600 whp running on AEM and 1550cc injectors and I don't feel like putting it back to stock.
Anyways I look forward to meeting some of you guys and going to some new race tracks.

Welcome to Texas. Hopefully well see you out at the track(s). There are a bunch of them!

 

From what I hear some counties are emissions free, I lived in killeen for about two years and some places did visual some actually hooked the exhaust up. It all depends on the shop I guess. I live in houston now and have for the most part of my life, around here you just need to find the shops that are a bit more laxed on the emission testing. People even go to places that go under the table, but that's ofcourse if you wanna pay around 100 bucks for an inspection sticker.
