Window Tint Voids electrical warranty

Anyone in the DFW area, listen to 102.9FM right now.
http://www.mix1029.com/main.html

Anna is having issues with a dealership. THey are claiming her tint caused all sorts of electrical problems with her car. It is under warranty and they are denying coverage!

Window Tint!

Why are these dealerships so dishonest?

weird.

my dealer got the tinting done on my car so hopefully that doesn't avoid warrenty. I really doubt it does..

Maybe who she got it tinted with wasn't certefied... and the tint did some weird crap to her power windows or something? who knows.

Well, the only thing electrical that I can think of it affecting is the rear defroster.. Aside from that, maybe an embedded antenna on the front windshield.. Any idea what kind of car it is?

Sounds like a heaping load of BS from a dealer to deny an electrical warranty unless the damage was caused by water/solution (from the tint being done) or so they claim..

Well depending on the problem. Metallic tint can cause a rear window radio antenna not to function. Which would be the tints fault and should not be covered under warranty.

03 Evos have the antenna on the roof.
If the dealer can attribute the power window failure to the window tint, they are with in their rights. I would imagine this should be appealed to the service rep or go to another dealer.
The only other person you can blame is the window tinting company.
