I should be selling Mitsu's next week if all goes as planned. I'll be at Champion Mitsubishi in Houston. I'm looking forward to getting into it and getting that much closer to an Evo of my own.

I live in Austin but bought in Dallas because noone in Austin was giving me the deal I wanted. I bought right before Christmas and went to Maxwell and Gillman San Marcos to try to buy. When I stopped by Barrett, I checked out the lot for 5 minutes and never saw anyone, so I left.

Had a good experience with Frank Parra in Dallas. The sales guy was professional and knew the car.

I bought in Dallas last April too. The Austin dealers were an absolute joke at that time. The car's been great. No issues for me except paint chip on hood. Mitsu does have the worst dealers in the US.

When Maxwell closed, they took a couple techs to the Nissan side next door.

Where are people getting their evo's serviced in Austin? I don't like to do service myself -- not so good at it.

I just helped a friend get a WRX. Austin Subaru was a joy to work with compared to Gillman. Gillman kept trying to sell the extended warranty, gap protection, etc. In the end the finance guy tried to tack on another $700. Another friend is looking to buy an Evo, but the buying experience is so horrible he might go Subaru. Any centex area dealers reading this should PM me if they will sell an Evo for a good price with no bull****.

The crappy dealers in Austin are pretty much the only reason I am not in an EVO - I was ][ that far away from selling my WRX and getting one. It's pretty pathetic, however, Austin Subaru have always hooked me up and been professional and courteous, just wish they sold Mitsu's :P
