So if you haven't already seen em, here it is:

To swap out the old red white and blue one all you need to do is take a copy of your insurance, your drivers license, and registration sticker to your local DMV. Give them 7 bucks and enjoy your new plate. I just called my local DMV because I want to swap and figured the community might also like to know.

That is exactly what I said. I liked the custom black with white star, and was about to fork out the money for it, but 7 bucks = easy answer. I also have a white evo so I am excited to get that red white and blue crap off.

I had been driving around lately and noticing the new plates thinking theres no way this many people on road are forking out the cash for custom plates. I was pleased to find out I was correct and it was easy/cheap to swap them out.

Just moved to TX from NJ and I got my new license plates today. I was wondering if cops in TX especially around Houston area tolerate license plate holders that cover the "The Lone Star State" portion of the plate. Got my first ticket 6 days after I set foot in TX so I don't need another one anytime soon.

Not trying to high jack this thread. Just thought I'd rather post here than start a new thread.
