Dallas Auto Show

i just came back from the Dallas Autoshow. Subaru had a great display, with two Sti's, a tuned WRX wagon and a sedan, and a super tuned 350hp Forester. It was really awesome, and luckily the Forester is owned by Subaru of Dallas, so i'll get a ride in it later.

Mitsubishi had one Evo, which was blue, and had the short spoiler. I was really suprised that Mitsubishi didn't bring the heat with anything special, and i was extremely disappointed, especially since i had two friends who drive WRX's with me.

Stupid

Was the Evo even up on a pedastal? Last year they had a red up there but they didn't even bother coming over to talk to anyone looking at it. Every other brand had nice folks who would mosey over and point things out and at least be friendlt and when told your just looking nicely let ya know they'd be over there if ya need anything.. Mitsu.. no.. I guess they are just letting potential customers know what to expect before, during and after the sale..

nope, no pedestal, it was just sitting there with the other US lancers like it was just some car. Oh well, Mitsu will learn

I gtuess they just don't take note of the Dallas Auto Show enough. Maybe like it's not important at all-- I wouldn't be surprised if that was their attitude. They need better amrketing and FAST.

Even the small things count-- and the DAS really can count... (especially if Ford there is trying to get all the attention. )

Were their any other good cars? I plan going tomorrow but I ain't sure...

wait, the blue evo has the short spoiler??? holy crap! i've been trying to buy a blue evo from Don Herring in Plano and they told me that they found one and that it was at the auto show. (so since you said there is only one there, i assume it was that). they also said it had the c/f wing and the sunroof.

that just makes me mad that they would say that and not even have the options i wanted. good thing Frank Parra has the one i want and is willing to go cheap.

Hey, what rims were on the forester and what color was it? As I was leaving school on monday or tuesday a young guy driving a forester with rims was going down the service road to 75 in Plano and slowed down to give me a thumb-up on my Evo as I was waiting to turn onto the service road at Parker. I turned on and followed him onto 75 and noticed the paper plates and his shirt looked like he worked at Plano Subaru. We ran side-by-side for a little while and I waved bye when I got off at Plano Parkway, I think that it had gunmetal 18's or anthracite, but I could not tell what kind since it was moving, and it had an exhaust also. Good looking forester though.

I was checking inventories and i didnt see that they had any as of wednesday. I may have checked the wrong one, but Frank Parra in Irving has a bby one and is willing to sell it to me for ~27

I bought mine at Frank Parra in Mid December and was very pleased with their attitude and professionalism. They gave me the most for my WRX trade and gave me a good price as well (though not as cheap as yours).

I bought mine from Markus. I have not used their Service Department, so I can't give you any feedback there though..

im buying from Darwin (one of the internet salesmen) he has been very courteous and always called me back on the same day.

i think the only reason i'm getting that low is because its an 03 and they are trying to get rid of it, but also because i qualify for the "Graduating College Seniors" discount. so that is an extra $500 off the price.
