Spokes AutoX 4/18 in Austin

Just a friendly reminder that Spokes will be having their 3rd AutoX of the season at TechRidge in Austin on Sunday.

www.spokes.org

Track map is posted next to "TechRidge" on the front page event schedule. Looks like it will be fun, and good to see them making better use of the area near the parking spaces by having the route cross over itself a few times.

It'll be my my event of the season in my own car, and my first AutoX in my car on race tires... so it should be interesting to see what happens.

Even if you don't come out to drive, come out to watch and catch rides with the drivers... that's half the fun!

Wish me luck against all the STi's...

Hey Sean, nice times you posted up today! Here are those pics I got of your car, and some others. Took 372 today Most of them Subarus, but you gotta know that I'm biased, hahaha.

You've got some nice pics there G. I spent 40$ on pictures after my last event and the photograph was doing lots of telephoto pictures and always tried to get cones into the pictures.

Shawn was somewhat impressive today... He thinks he could get an other second out of his car.I'll give him a huge thumbs up for this time, and let him think about that fish he thinks he could have caught.

I got to run the kart for a first time, it was fun. Took it somewhat slow, but Tak's kart is easy to drive. Was planning to go all out on my last run (and catch a fish), but here is the fun part: Tak, right after his last run broke his steering linkage while parking the kart... scratching head again. Felt week in knees a bit there.

No other evo out there...thankgod!

I love the shot of Rafal's nose going past that cone. That's sweet! Gotta love digi-SLR, those shots look great.

Treefallen: There was definitely more time out there, I know it. I mean, Rafal did get a 53+1... and I don't think that missing that cone would've given him more than another tenth or so on his time. Troy also had a 53 I think, luckily it was +1 also. Not that it mattered since he still won.

So many subies out there, with a nice showing of STi. I think you had 5 today? 3 black, 1 blue, 1 white, right?

Trubidou showed up today to hang out, but didn't run his Evo. Maybe someday...

Yes, it was fun, a lot of subaru showed up. Also, Novice class is sporting many participants and its not letting off either. The sport is gaining popularity.

There was more time out there in deed. You guys have proven it, I haven't even come close to these times. I am clueless as to what to blame too! Scratches head...again
