1. Westheimer and Beltway 8 on Saturdays at 10:00~10:30 til ???
2. SGP racing. I am a loyal faithful customer. They have always done good work for me. http://www.sgpracing.com If you are doing this for the defi gauges, try it yourself. I installed the 60mm bf gauges in my BBY evo. A real sense of accomplishment, and not too hard.
3. I find that if you are too close to downtown you could have problems (price, type of area, and traffic)
4. I have lived in sugarland, nice but pricey, Clear Lake nice and not so pricey but far from h-town. You will have to just check some areas out on your own.

If you decide to live in the suburbs I would either choose due North(Spring, The Woodlands) or due South(Clear Lake) of town. They are nice places to live as far as the suburbs go and those commutes aren't bad especially if you are a smart driver. Never ever live of off 290(Northwest freeway) or I-10(Katy Freeway) traffic is HORRIBLE.
As far as shops go. I use MVPmotorsports in central Texas but I have used and trust AutoLogic - 713-783-4655
