Houston: UTEC users, or EVO owners who are interested in UTEC
Hey guys, I'm friends with some of the EVO owners here and Houston and I figure it wouldn't hurt if I posted this on here.
if you don't know what the UTEC is, then you should. It is a very good hybrid system that allows you to take control of fuel, timing and boost to optimize power levels for your EVO. It is the safest piggyback system out there because it doesn't allow your ECU to fight your values at WOT.
With that being said, I have a friend of mine that is coming down here in a couple of weeks that happens to tune UTECs. We are going to hit the dyno with my car and I was wondering if any of you EVO guys were interested. Since I have the dyno for the whole day, I figure I'd invite other people and split the costs to help me out a little.
Now if you're wondering who my friend tuner is, his name is Clark Turner. He has come to Houston twice to tune most of the WRX's out there, but not many EVO owners came to tune, but many came to watch.
He has tuned over 200 UTEC cars, including the Vivid racing EVO which put down a whopping 420whp on a Dyno Dynamics dyno, aka The Heartbreaker. That dyno reads extremely low.. compared to Turbochargers.com's Dynojet that 420whp would have pounded out 460-480whp on the dynojet.
Now if you're interested, please PM or email me for more details. If you have any questions about the UTEC, please feel free to ask. Thanks.
Wally
