autocross damnit!

Its fun, cheap and safer than street racing or using George Bush Tollway as a race track. Besides, MSM voided your warranty the second you drove the car off the lot. Read the fine print.

I just checked the texas scca site and there are autocrosses nearly every weekend of August. I'm planning on attending Equipe Rapide's(www.autocross.com/er) autocross on the 29th.

The last one I attended was great, but there was only 1 EVO there (me). I need help keeping the STi's in their place.

The event was much better than the last one. The number of cars entered was probably less than 100 so we got more runs. I got 7 because somebody walked in front of the finish line timer.

As usual no other EVOs, but what else did I expect? Luckily several of the WRX & STi drivers took me any and provided pointers on how to trim time off and get the best performance out of an AWD.

My first time was 62.723(? don't have notes w/ me now) and my last time was 60.55. Fasted car in STU was 55.???.

I have video from three of my runs which I'll rip and post laster. Unfortunately the tape ran out at the start line for my fourth run.

Anyway, tons of fun and there were a lot of cool cars out there.
