hello everyone,

i am new to this forum and to the EVO as i just picked up an '04 last weekend. i am moving to the DFW area next week for a new job, and was wondering what there is to do around there as far as autocrossing, drivers ed events, track days, car shows... anything basically. additionally if there are any EVO get togethers or anything i would love to participate. also, how many people do live in the DFW area?

we have an evo club based out of dallas, and right now it is free to join.
we do at least 2-3 things a month together, check it out.

there are a couple of 1/8 mile tracks... and i believe the closest 1/4 mile is in ennis which is about a 30 min drive south of dallas.. as far as shows there are couple year round like HIN, expo, extreme auto fest, etc... shows got pretty boring.. i used to throw the after parties here in dallas... not sure on auto cross courses..

excellent info for the road courses. i am also a member of the porsche club of america, and with a number of events at the texas world speedway i will be very busy=) i look forward to meeting you guys when i get down there. as of right now my move date is next week tuesday.

 

next tuseday we have our monthly meeting as well as that following weekend we are having our five state evo meet. i know it is short notice but if you can make it shoot me an email and ill send you directions.

I should also have given you a link to ConeCrazy. My first trip to TWS was last month with these guys, and I got a substantial (25%) discount for being with them.

If my brake pads come in the mail, I should be at the NASA event at TWS in a couple of weeks.
