CMP stand for Carolina Motorsports Park. It is in Kershaw SC, about 2.30 from Chas. It is a very tight and a relatively slow track but allot of fun.

Autometrics motorsports here in Charleston is having a track day at Roebling on Jan 14th for solo drivers. It is very smiliar to seat time events but is aimed at more advanced people (we don't have any instructors) Some times there is private coaching that is allowed but it is a one on one sort of deal.

Hutchison is the race track allmost in downtown Sav that was used for ONE indy light race in the early 90's They have autox's in the old padock area. As far as I know it is a SCCA event or something on the 28th. Dont know much other than that but I was planning on going w/ a group of guys from Chas.

Badevo, let me know if you need help or info about the Roebling date. Are you planning on renting the track yourself or just tag along w/ another group?

RSR - We are going with another group. They would lik eto remain anonomus at this time. But I would love to learn more about road course driving as this is the reason I bought my EVO. I'd defentley like to meet up with you maybe do lunch or something of the sort RSR.

Hey guys, the sea-time events rock, and for the money you won't find a better event. Grey, I was the guy down helping the guy in the M5, I was his instructor. I also road with Jon in your Evo at the end of the day.

Glad to see you are enjoying the track opportunities, stick with it, you won't be sorry. I 'finally' got my evo down for the next Seat-time event, and man I had a blast. I think I got down to 1:27's with stock suspension, which wasn't bad considering the heat. I was still much faster in the BMW, I think I got down into the 1:25's, something about that car I love, oh yeah, the NAV system showing the track, man got to love an80grand car.

anyway, I will have the coil's by the next event, and hopefully, I will be bringing some folks with me. Also, guys, if anyone is interested, I am going to setup a track day at Little Talledega in Feb, if anyone is interested. It is a small technical track, great for tweaking suspesions. Cost would be around 100 per person for the day, BUT it would be during the weak.

The Talladega track is about 1 hour outside of Atlanta, depending on how you drive the open stretch between.

I have been a member of High Tach for awhile now and it is a great group of guys. Just go to the Website, introduce yourself and find out when the next group event will be. I am with Team Radicals in Florence . Check out Teamradicals.com , there are three Evos on the website. Dan has the Toyo Sponsored Evo, Hks kit. It is really nasty. Dan is installing my turbo kit next month. He has done all the work on my Evo since I bought it last year. I will PM you my contact info and we can talk about the events for next year. STop,turn your name was David? Which Coilovers did you decide to go with? I am doing an upgraded turbo kit next month. I have to keep up with DAn in the Blue Evo.

Fiesty,

do you guys meet around here any time soon? I have been struggling to find other owners in this area? Do you guys track at all, or just drag....

Grey, yep, I am the infamous jungle dave. I am doing a kit, but I am going another direction. I am building a 2.3 with cams and a hks2071, which is smaller, but good for 450@hp. My buddie has the same setup on his track-talon, did 420 at the dyno, but what was impressive was he was at full spool by 2300 with his custom race header... granted he was only at 16psi, but still. The thing just destroys my Evo off the line and down the straight. I can't wait for him to go to Talledga with it, it should be a monster, if he can keep from destroying axles and his transfer case.

You guys want to do Talladega? It could prove interesting, and you will need to tune that big turbo and your suspension. And it will only cost 100 bucks, where you gonna beat that?
