Let me just declare my ignorance and ask what is the major differences between a flash and a tune for engine management? Is a flash u just tell them what u have and they reprogram the ECU? Is the tune the same but they dyno it too?

Also, I think I am having the P0300 misfire code happening, if they reflashed would it take it away?

Well, a flash is just a reprogramming of the factory ECU, but you need to do some tuning runs to get the flash just right for your particular Evo. So flashes and tunes go hand in hand.

a reflash of your ECU is a 50/50 chance. I can tell you most likely it would pop again sometime in the future. Really its nothing. Maybe think about investing in a obd2 scanner and delete it as it comes or whatever. Yes, basically a flash is preset timing timing , fuel , and boost, But they road tune it to make sure it doesnt run lean. Its simpler than doing an engine management becasue they dont manually have to adjust the timing and boost to your car.
