I like the Club Evo - GA and we could division that off of EVo SouthEast.

If you want me to organize, i could. If we form a club, i could talk to a lot of people on discounts on parts as well as dynos and few other things (like track day discount on drag and autox.)

Also, logo, t-shirt design and possibly a website along with stickers and so on.

If that works out, we could make a monthly publication for GA chapter or even southeast chapter on articles with how tos and shop reviews and dealer reviews and parts review.

That with track reviews and cool little spots in ga.

I think this is good, because we have a sizeable number of people and we have the opportunity to establish something for east coast for evo's and discounts for the owners.

Now, I guess we'll give it a couple more days before the name is official, just to be fair. Until then, we'll just post on this thread. New thread will be started once votes are in.

We need other officials to help organize Club EVO-GA.

 

We can discuss the goals for our charter on sunday,and decide from there.

just a thought...

when you talk about "southeast region" or "ga" or monthly "ga meets"...it implies EVERYONE with a mitsu lancer is to come to the meet. but it seems it only applies to evo's. is this because you evo's think it's "your" meet? is it because people like me don't want to come because we don't have evo's? well, i had a great time last sunday. there is good character to our membership and i think it should be open to more people. i learned a lot from the evo guys. but you all will be coming to the RA's asking about MIVEC in a few months. in short...it's not cool to alienate people unless you say, straight up...we want it to be evo's then call it EVO-GA...but don't call it EVO-GA and say, well...i guess we can let the little people tag along.

i don't know how well that would fly with straight members, which i think is 100% of us are, but you never know.

These guys really opened up my eyes to what a car club can be. They have a good relationship with vendors, dealerships and a large member base. No offence to anyone here, but they had much more going on than a bunch of people getting together in a parking lot talking about the latest strut bar they’ve installed. In addition, they have longevity. They’ve been around for a few years now and they have a stable group of officers. I’m afraid, sometimes on these message boards ideas likes clubs pop up, some stickers are made and then they rapidly disappear. I’m just trying to say, if you are going to do it, then do it right. If you need, or want, to contact the Mini club I would be happy to help out there.

I also think it would be smart to show love for the other Lancer owners and to be inclusive in the name. The fact of the mater is that there are not enough Evo’s out there to sustain a club that will last.
