man, Constantine was a great movie! I wanna get the DVD.

Anyway, the 13.5 second requirement is for any cars not Lancer and Evo. If you have a lancer, that's ok.

You don't have to do 13.5 in order for you to join. You're in.

lol yeah it was pretty good it was like matrix meets the exorcist, but yeah. 13.5 seconds on a regular lancer is kinda hard unless turboed

it could happen, 13 sec lancers could happen.

trust me, if you could make your 17 sec civic go 12 sec, anything is possible.

besides, you'll have people to help you out.

A Lancer is not a DSM. Neither is the Evo. You need to alter the wording of the requirements.

The definition of DSM from the DSM.org website:
A joint effort by Mitsubishi (three diamonds) and the Chrysler Corporation (penta-star) to build some of the most incredible automobiles in the world. The vehicles were produced with the names Eagle Talon, Mitsubishi Eclipse, and Plymouth Laser. DSM cars are assembled in Normal, Illinois. The '94-and-up Mitsubishi Galant is also assembled at the DSM plant in IL; previous Galant's were assembled in Japan. The Eclipse and Galant (since '89) share the same platform.

Best wishes,
f86sabre

Most people often call lancers/ which is evolution family before mirage platform was changed for evo's, DSM, because of its heritage.

Lancers been around forever.

Althought the Joint venture between Chrysler and Mitsubishi's fade, (the plant is owned by Mitsubishi solely) however, the stock stake of Chrysler in Mitsubishi is still substantial.

it's not DSM, legally, however, it's tradition and heritage is still in the sense of Diamond star motors.

we don't share the engine and platform with Chrysler anymore (evo's), but we did at one point, in eclipse and jeep talon as well as Dodge Stealth and 3000GT.

And technically, as of 2000, it is still venture between Diamer Chrysler and Mitsubishi, which is still DSM, but official name of the venture is Mitsubishi.

The DSM was changed to Mitsubishi motors in 1995.

So when I say DSM, it's stating the company that makes the car, which is mitsubishi.

But if you want to get technical, DSM is Eclipse, Talon, Plymouth Laser, Galant, Steath and 3000gt.

So any car that's not Lancer or Evolution. happy?

Did you know that Mitsubishi got the Eclipse name from an 18th Century English racehorse that won 26 races? lol

ok. sorry to say this but....

club is never gonna be successful if you just let anyone who runs a 13.5 sec 1/4 mile in. It is supposed to be kind of for lack of a better word...elite. I don't see anything wrong with people that don't have EVOs hanging out, but as far as being in the club, i think its silly.

i understand you are doing it to have as many members as possible, and to try and get dues or whatever....but, its a priveledge so to speak to have an EVO.

you think the Viper club of GA lets stratuses in the club, or worse yet, a neon that can run a 13.5? NOPE

i was in the Z club of GA, a 240sx is like a little minature Z...they weren't allowed in the club

Hmm, you think the corvette club lets Evos taht run 13.5s in? na. what about camaros, they are kinda like corvettes, they let them in? na.

the club will grow if its strictly evos. you dont' have to start a club with 50 cars. it will last longer, and be a bigger deal if it was strictly evos. Talk about getting a Southeast Evo club? that would flurish if it were only evos. and could have a different chapter for every state.

i think you should rethink. we drive sports cars, not family cars....

not to bash you guys taht don't have evos, its just how i feel. when you guys decide to buy a evo and have a sports car, then i think you will feel better about being in an EVO club.

GSU Jeff, you make a very convincing point. However, this is evolution club first, before anything else, I assure you.

However, I know some owners who's super knowledgeable in cars (all cars) and have super nice and super fast car who's interested in purchasing an evolution or had an evolution.

I would like to have the club open with restrictions, but not limitations.

Don't worry, I will have all the information for you soon. I'm writing them as we speak.

The club number as of now is fairely good number as of now. Once the club is open, i'm sure all the people who's been at the previous meeting will consider joining.

I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks.

Well, like i said, nothing wrong with letting them hang out....but as far as being in "the club" i think it should be EVOS only.

but thats just my opinion brother, i just think its a privaledge and should be treated as such.
