Topspeed Visit
The past three days I had the opportunity to spend some time at Topspeed. I was there visiting my friends Doug and Giovanni. I just wanted to congratulate them on a job well done on their business so far. The shop was packed with EVOs, STIs, etc... There were two two customer cars I was most impressed with. The first one was a STI and honestly I'm not too enthused with them, but thsi build was spectacular. It has a built block and head powered with with
gt35r turbo. The turbo kit is completely custom and built by Doug. Doug was like "Matt, I built all that from scratch." I kept acting like it wasn't a big deal to give him crap, but honestly I was very impressed. I'm sure this car will be in some sort of magazine for all to view. I reccommend checking it out even though it isn't an EVO. Doug is also doing some custom work on an EVO with a gt35r build. He is going to build the block and head as well as fabricating misc parts. I'm sure he will post upon completion.
I also find it neccessary to inform the EVO community that the customer service and support from that shop is well above what I've ever seen. I didn't so much as hear one negative thing about the shop from anyone. Every customer that wlaks in their door has a smile on their face from ear to ear. I can't wait to see how much more the business grows when I return from Iraq for good.
Doug will be doing tons of custom work to my EVO when I get back if not before depending when I get my car to him. I will be running a Innovative turbo so I'm expecting quite a bit of power.
If you haven't been to Topspeed and you are in their area I highly reccommend stopping by and checking out the shop. It is a high class business with high class employees.
