housing around Gainesville?
housing around Gainesville?
Guys,
My bro will porbably be coming to the sunny state of FL next year (to UFL) and I'd like to do some search up front and see how much houses are going for, what neighbourhoods are good etc etc.
Can somebody post some links with some local realtors around Gainesville so I can snoop around and even some good rental places. I would hate to see him get stuck (like I was for a while in NJ) in some slump
Hopefully I'll move down there myself soon too! I'm sick and tired of ****ty weather.
Thanks

I'm from Gainesville, well I actually just live there now for college, but I have no clue about housing in the area. I lived in the dorms my first year and now have an apartment at Campus Lodge. Nice houses can be hard to come by, but there sure are plenty of apartment complexes, a lot of nice ones too. Campus Lodge is real nice for about 4-500 bux a month.
i'd get a townhouse or a condo and make my roommates pay my mortgage. I kick myself now for not doing this.
I lived for 3 years at Rockwood Villas on 62nd BLVD in an individually owned townhouse and it's pretty low-key with a good mix of students/families. It depends on what kind of environment you want to be in.
