Central Florida Alert: Stolen Recaros
Alright guys I'm putting out the alert for stolen seats.
This morning at 7:15AM I found that someone had broken into my IX and stole both Recaros as well as the aluminum Mitsu shift knob. The thief/thieves gained entry by pulling out the right front passenger window. The cops were able to lift fingerprints so I hope that leads them to the perpertrator.
This crime happened in a west Orlando community. Cameras are installed in that area pointing to the mailboxes no more than 20 feet away so I'm hopeful it caught this person/people on tape. I'll keep you posted on that.
I'm going to keep my eye on ebay, craigslist, car-part.com, etc for these seats. I hope you guys, as fellow Mitsu brethren can help me out by watching out for these seats. Alarm yourselves, garage your babies... don't let this happen to you.
I don't have much hope in recovering them but I do hope that whoever stole my property will have a hard time selling them or concealing the fact that he or she is a CRIMINAL.

The window is not broken. The rubber seal around the glass is pulled away and the glass looked like it had been bent outward so that a hand or tool could be inserted.
Tonight, after closer inspection, it looks like it was a clean job. It appears only the center console was where it's screwed to the floor. I also noticed that my Passport 8500 was also gone which didn't make it to the police report.
