Shifter binds at WOT, full boost ???

After finally getting a handle on how the AEM works as far as tuning, I have gotten some pretty nice power at 27psi on the AMS stroker, 6 speed MR box, and with that I have found that when I lay into it and go for the redline at full boost, the shifter will not allow a switch into the next higher gear until the engine unwinds a bit off throttle. My butt-o-meter says around 460 HP based on what I know she felt like dyno'd at 440.

Has anyone else experienced this ? A well known phenomenon to all but me ?

Has the engine shifted so much on the mounts because of the torque that the cables are taut?

In the same area, what kind of adjustments, if any, can I make to the shifter cables at the tranny side ? If you know detail the adjustment procedure for me please.

I get the feeling one of those Ingalls engine shocks might be in my future unless some other ideas are out there. I have checked the integrity of the engine/trans mounts and the bolts are all snug.

Thanks for any feedback,

Craig

Why not go with the Powerflex motor mounts instead of the shock?
