are any of the red evos that were at the track on here? i believe there were 2(red ones), im looking for the one that was having an axle issue, that raced a cobra in front of whattaburger after the track closed.

here's my end of the meet situation pasted from my OrlandoForums.com posting:

i had a good time...for what it was worth.

left Maitland @ 7:30p & hauled *** down 50 towards the track. got a call from Miguel saying he was stuck on the side of the road with a buddy (and his HOTT GF) & a blown motor (not his).

turns out this guy i just met had moved down here from NC not 4 days ago & the car was the same age. bought heavily modded w/ volks, drop, engine mods, UTEC, and a GT35R turbo-setup. previously in the day--and this is where it gets a big SHADY--the owner of said '03 WW Evo VIII was tuned by none other than C-F-T ....and now, here we all sat with a dime-sized perfectly visible HOLE in the poor guy's block & LOTS of oil streaked down 50 & all over the freshly detailed car. such a damn shame.

i woulda taken pics but i didnt want to be disrespectful. so, yeah here's the story. according to driver, he was driving normal boosting nothing but 10PSI at that very moment when he heard the motor blow.

ridiculous. driver is seeking out CFT & possibly seeking damages & neglect. chalk up another one for this company & their infamous motor-destroying dyno. such a shame.

hope things work out for both the driver & CFT in some sort of a pleasant & professional manner.

out of respect for the whole situation i decided to hang back with the driver, his girl & Miguel awaiting the tow truck. never made it to the track & for me being the fan i am, a. thats highly respectful, and b. its pretty damn amazing.

note to those in attendance: i want pics and/or video(s) posted please. my hard-drive of 3,000+++ is begging for it. need some locals to add to my WORLDWIDE collection. appreciate it & wish i coulda met up with you guys to check out the action & the fun. *sigh*

 

Yeah I heard about that, He just sold his car then went and picked that car up and it blew, I was there when Miguel was talking to Steve about it, and said there was no oil left it was all on the Road, that really sucks for him, I hope it works out for him and CFT, Sucked, We were wondering were Miguel went, We saw him leave, but never came back, It was pretty fun, I heard about something in Sept. from some Guys, So hopefully you can make it to that and In July they are having a supra meet at the track and then going to the Dyno as well, So hopefully I will see some Evo's out there taking some BPU and maybe small singles, It was nice to meet you all and to all I didn't meet hopefully will meet you someday, Thanks again to all who made it out and tried as well.

Hey guys, it was fun and all until my friend called me that his motor had blown.. I had to leave and go help bc him and his girl had no way to get home. We waited like 2 hours and a half for the tow truck and then i had to take them home since he had no more ride.. Hopefully we can get another meet tohether soon. Im thinking about a daytona or New Smyrna beach meet where you can actually drive on the beach...

 

I heard something about somebody setting something up in Sept.

daytona for a next meet sound pretty cool, as long as its not in july I can make it.

Anyway, I missed the Race Rock gathering but did show up at the track. I had to work Friday night, and got out too late. A Friday meet was kind of an inconvenience...wish it was on a weekend. But it's all good. Saw Miguel when I got there...then heard about the horror story about the Evo on the side of the road.
I met John (Jestr Tuning) when I got there also. Real nice guy, and I told him I'd keep in touch once I get more mods.
Saw Manie when I was leaving also, always good to see him.

All in all, I saw some pretty quick Evos and overall nice cars. Didn't go to Waterford afterwards, since I was with the whole fam. Did watch the movie the next night though and enjoyed it.

 

lol, None of us went to Waterford, we all went and ate at Proccolino's, Well I know for sure next June there will be a meet again, trying to make it a annual thing, going to try for Saturday instead, I just did Friday cause that is when the test and tune was, But if you guys have any info on what you would like to improve on for a meet next year please tell me. Thanks again to all who made it and hopefully all that didn't make it will make it out next year.
